At Banwell, we value all ages and stages of life. Our seniors continue to be a very important part of our ministries here. We all benefit from their experience and perspectives.
The seniors have a group that meets monthly for fellowship and fun. Most months include a lunch meeting as well as a speaker or presentation of interest to the group.
In recent months, we had a Christmas Dinner, a visit from a local author, a speaker from the Heart Association and many more interesting events. Our meetings are informal and include people who are from our Banwell church family as well as others from the community who may not have a seniors program at their church or who are interested in our events here. All are welcome!
Meetings are usually on the second Wednesday of the month. There is usually no cost for the meetings, just a suggested donation of $5 for the lunch.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5th. Age Unlimited and Friends will assemble at Banwell at 10:15 a.m. The singles group is also invited to join us for this event. Space is limited so please sign up ASAP. The bus departs at 10:30 a.m. for Detroit River, sight seeing, a tour of Fort Malden and lunch at Duffy’s. Return about 3:30 p.m. Cost: $10.00 plus cost of lunch. Sign-up at the church or call 519-735-2654 to RSVP. All welcome!
